Get Ready For A Giant 'Ukraine Election Theft!!!' Psyop On Monday!

All the pieces seem to be in place:

«The Georgians were to "interfere in the electoral process... with an aim to change the outcome of the elections and disrupt the vote," party member Mykola Azarov told a news conference on Saturday.

«Ukraine's central election body had earlier refused to register over 3,000 observers, sent by Georgia to Sunday's presidential polls, citing the absence of necessary documents. The number of monitors from the Caucasus state exceeded the total number of observers sent by other states and international organizations.

«A source in the Georgian opposition told RIA Novosti the visitors were related to Georgian special services and the military.

«"The vast majority of them are servicemen. Some have identity documents with other names, almost all had undergone special training and have close-combat skills," the source said.

«He said they were to receive bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $32,000.»

«"If we don't take into account the legal side of the issue, it's necessary to point to the anomalous number of Georgian official observers that were proposed for registration - over 2,000 people [looks like about 3000 Georgian commandos!]," Okhendovsky said.

«He said that all other foreign states had submitted only 276 observers for registration and the CEC had registered all of them. In particular, the commission registered 96 observers from Poland, 73 from the United States, 39 from Russia, 11 from Germany and three from France.

«"The real tasks facing those continuing to claim their registration as Georgian observers should undoubtedly become a subject of checks by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Mykhailo Brodsky's statement could be evidence of attempts by a foreign state to interfere in Ukraine's domestic affairs," Okhendovsky said.»

So what does this all mean? What I think it means is that I get to predict that if the CIA's baby brother NED, and it's Georgian special forces friends fail to sway tomorow's Ukraine election from former premier Viktor Yanukovych toward pro-Western incumbent Viktor Yushchenko, they will foment "spontaneous" protests, and US activists will be exhorted to demonstrate on behalf of the Yushenko "phreedom fighters." It will be a sad spectacle indeed, closely resembling the "spontaneous" demonstrations over the supposedly wicked Iran elections.

Of course, if we protested the recent Massachusetts Senate election, which was conducted via easily hacked private computers, we would get bloodied and jailed. Democracy: what a wondrous thing!

I guess that's the most likely cause. If so, sorry, Laura!!!

If that's what she says, (3.00 / 1)
then that's probably the case. I don't believe Laura would pull anybody's post and you really don't either, do you?

Thanks for crossposting it to RoA (0.00 / 0)
As I noted, I think you're offbase about the Massachusetts election, but I am purely uninformed about the Ukraine and thus not qualified to comment on the main body of this piece.

I'm glad you brought this to our attention and I'll be watching for the followup articles in the news. It is a sad irony that Americans are so poorly informed about so many other countries, when they as a rule are quite aware of what we are up to.

Mea culpa as well, and thanks for doing your bit to try to help remedy this sad situation.

If Jay and I for some reason had to pull (0.00 / 0)
an essay from RoA...and there would have to be pretty serious reasons for that (other than total spamming) - I couldn't see just deleting it and not saying anything; that would be extremely bad form. At worst, one would rewrite the content and explain why you thought you had to do it, right there IN the content, so any readers would be aware of what happened and be able to comment (and yell at you and call you repressive assholes, if they chose to do so).

Disappearing people's stuff without explanation is the kind of thing that gets a blog a bad name.... very totalitarian. Agreed that Laura doesn't seem the sort to do that.

I didn't know Soapblox glitches could disappear essays...interesting. Makes it even more important to keep lines of communication open.

I Have Complete Faith In Laura (0.00 / 0)
Was only kidding about Laura being "one of them." I am actually quite surprised that people took it seriously! The title in the second attempt to post my article got a bit mangled.

The kind of people who set up hosting operations such as WordPress.com (differs from WordPress.org software), TypePad, SoapBlox, etc., cannot resist adding new "features" that often mess up their service.

I read that the current pro-Western presidential incumbent Viktor Yushchenko has only got 5% of the initial vote, so the psyop won't be tomorrow

Mr Yanukovich was comfortably ahead of Ms Tymoshenko, with 35 per cent of the vote against 25 per cent. - Financial Times

But Ms Yanukovich is held to be more pro-Western than Mr Yanukovich, and she's already asking for mass protests!

Ukrainian presidential hopeful Yulia Tymoshenko on Thursday dramatically raised tensions ahead of this weekend's elections, warning she would call for mass street protests if her rival rigged the polls.

The comments by Tymoshenko, currently prime minister, raised the spectre of a repeat of the 2004 Orange Revolution demonstrations after her bitterly-fought contest against opposition politician Viktor Yanukovich. - Raw Story

So we should perhaps expect the psyop to emerge in a few more days!
